Corrie Adams was born and
raised in Chicago Il. He states:
Being raised in church, I sang
in the choir and was a junior deacon. My
parents instilled principles in me. As I got older, I began
to ask questions about salvation and how to live in this
world after being born again. I remember making a profession
of salvation at an early age but sin working in me
began to show on the outside. As a teenager, I was
challenged with a simple question, Are you saved? I replied,
"Yes" all you have to do is repent after you sin". I was told, saved people don't do
what I had just done. I had to agree.
From that point on I wouldn't say that I was saved but continued going
to church and started singing in a popular gospel group. I
traveled singing gospel music but wasn't saved. God used
the little bit of honesty and dealt with my soul. I was
engaged, at that time, to Myisha Brown, who is
now my wife of three chidren. She had gotten
saved about a month before me. She invited me to a Church of
God service. God showed me through the scripture, June 1999,
that I could live a life free from willful sin by His grace.
I vowed that I would obey the truth. God saved my
soul and established my going.
I just wanted to be saved, but some years later God called me to the
ministry and I had to answer. (Ephesians
3:7-9) My desire is to be a help to
God's people and help deliver dying souls from the
clutches of the Devil and sin. I am humbled to have such a
great wife, children,Church of God family, fellow labourers in
the ministry, and Pastor after God's own heart. I mean
to make a difference.
